ENERGY SAVINGS CAN BE MADE WITH THE USE OF VERSATILE ELECTRONIC TIMERSThe use of highly versatile electronic timers can help save energy when installed in place of standard light switches. So, in association with its Super and Premier stockists Adaptaflex has put together a promotion on the most popular Elkay Energy Management units.
Offering ceiling mounted PIR electronic and touch electronic options, the timers allow the opportunity to take back control of energy usage in occasionally occupied areas where lights are continually left on such as staircases, hallways, toilets, storerooms etc.
The ceiling mount PIR electronic timer offers an easily adjustable timing range and inbuilt ‘Lux Level Adjustment' to keep lighting switched off where sufficient ambient light exists. In operation, the PIR timer detects moving body heat within the detection range switching on the lights. Once this is no longer present the unit switches off the lights after the set time period has elapsed.
Similarly, the touch sensitive electronic timer is activated when the faceplate is touched activating the light for the set timing period. Operation of the unit is tamperproof once pressed and the time delay activated. If pressed again, while timing out, the time delay period is reset.
The timers afford run times that can be pre-set during installation, ranging from 10 seconds up to 30 minutes, allowing the appropriate duration to be set for a given application.
Both timers are designed to control various loads including incandescent, fluorescent, compact fluorescent lighting and general purpose loads.
Special promotion display boards, with the ‘Save money. Save time. Save energy.' message, complete with sample products, are on display in participating stockists. They also carry extremely useful quick reference leaflets to a range of energy management solutions and the special promotion.
Energy saving makes sound economical sense in light of legislation, such as the European Directive on Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control and the Climate Change Levy. - Ends -
