NEW LARGE BORE ADAPTALOK SWIVEL FLANGE FITTING

Adding to the already extensive range of Adaptalok fittings is a new large bore straight swivel flange, with integral face seal, ideal for panel mounting.

The new fitting, Type AL54/FL/A, is suitable for flexible conduit size of 54mm and is available in either black or grey as standard. It can be used in panel building applications and is particularly suited for use on heating and ventilation systems.

Suitable for the range of Adaptaflex non-metallic conduits in light, standard, medium and heavy weight, with a course pitch for increased flexibility. These include: Type PA, Type PR, Type PI and Type PP non-metallic flexible systems.

Adaptaflex's highly versatile Adaptalok, non-metallic, flexible conduit system, used for the protection of electrical, data and video cabling, with easy to install, one-piece, push and twist fittings, offers an IP66 rating as standard.

The bore of the Adaptalok fitting presents a tapered entry to the conduit to achieve sealing to IP66 without the need for gaskets or sealants, when used with Nylon conduit from the Adaptaflex range. This makes installation fast and efficient and is further enhanced thanks to the smooth interior of the fitting making cable drawing easy.

Once assembled, the system offers high pull-off strength and resistance to vibration and tampering. Unauthorised or accidental removal of the fitting is prevented by the necessity to use a screwdriver or removal tool.

These swivel flanges make the fittings extremely suitable for a variety of applications, particularly when used on control panels, heating and air conditioning systems, machinery, plant rooms etc., indeed anywhere where vibration or movement is an issue. The swivel capability of the flange fitting reduces the possibility of damage due to sideways movement of the conduit through vibration or motion. This ensures that no additional stress or wear is placed on the flexible conduit.

All the flanges have integral face seals to ensure the integrity of the system's IP66 ingress protection rating. Panel mounting is via two or four hole fixing. The Adaptalok system incorporates a comprehensive range of fittings from standard straight through to 45º and 90º elbows with swivel internal or external threads as well as UNEF circular connectors, push-in fittings for standard 20mm knockouts, swivel couplers and 3-way couplers.
