QUICKER FLEXIBLE CONDUIT SYSTEM INSTALLATION WITH HELP FROM CUTTING AND ASSEMBLY GUIDEAn illustrated, step by step guide to cutting and assembling flexible conduit systems is now available from Adaptaflex.
The new cutting and assembly guide includes installation details on fitting Adaptalok with the new, high visibility seal for ingress protection to IP68. New, two-part fittings for the non-metallic ranges are also in for the first time, introduced to speed installation. Other updates, brought in by new fitting introductions in the Adaptaseal, Adaptaring and Korifit systems, are also included.
These are all part of Adaptaflex's on-going product development programme and the company's ‘Xtra' campaign, aimed at raising the standard.
While the fittings are relatively simple to fit, if installed incorrectly the flexible conduit system performance could be compromised affecting the protection afforded the wiring, the system IP rating, system strength etc. By simply following the instructions in the guide, the integrity of the system is assured along with long service life and where relevant, correct earth continuity is maintained on screened applications.
The easy-to-use, A6 size guide is small enough to fit in a tool box and a colour reference, matching the existing Adaptaflex catalogue, runs throughout for ease of identification of the system being installed.
Making extensive use of illustrations to show in detail each stage of the operation, the guide is broken down into sections to highlight the individual systems through the Adaptaflex range.
Each section provides a step by step explanation on the best way to cleanly and accurately cut and assemble the various Adaptaflex non-metallic and metallic flexible conduit systems. This is followed by a detailed explanation of how to assemble and securely fix the fitting to the conduit.
In addition the guide lists the standard hand tools required to carry out the operation as well as a range of specialist tools such as cutting tools, vices and removal tools available from Adaptaflex.
Copies of the guide are available direct from Adaptaflex, Tel: 01675 468222 or via the internet at www.adaptaflex.com.
