VERSATILE RANGE OF TERMINAL BLOCKS AND CONNECTORS INTRODUCEDAs part of its ‘Xtra' programme for ‘Raising the Standard' in today's market, Adaptaflex - market leading flexible conduit manufacturer - is now offering a selection of highly versatile terminal blocks and connectors for use in domestic, commercial and industrial installations.
These parts can be ordered from electrical wholesalers and delivered with standard flexible conduit products.
New to the range are the KC Series of screwless terminal blocks and the Aqua-Safe waterproof connector.
Specifically designed to meet the needs of the lighting industry, the KC series allows quick installation and can be used as a direct replacement for lighting industry connection products. Stripped conductors are simply inserted into one of six terminals available for each pole, where they are securely held. Removal is achieved simply by depressing a lever on the terminal block.
Ideal for outdoor applications, such as garden lighting and fountain pumps, the Aqua-Safe waterproof connector has a ‘first make last break' earth contact and provides a safe connection wherever cables are used in wet environments.
Aqua-Safe is equally suited to industrial applications and can be submerged in water up to depths of 20 metres. It has an operational temperature range of -25ºC to +95ºC and a 10 Amp rating at 250 Volts ac.
Aqua-safe incorporates a fast connect and release system in the form of a snap-lock collar incorporating an ‘O' ring seal that affords IP68 ingress protection to 2 bar. Further extensions to the range, including bulkhead mounting options and larger cable capacities, will be launched this year.
The Elkay range of terminals and connectors is extremely wide and varied, with the unique advantage of being able to offer customised specials, details of which are available on request.
Also available in the Elkay range from Adaptaflex are cable glands and energy management products.
