FULL RANGE OF ELKAY CABLE GLANDS AVAILABLE FROM ADAPTAFLEXThe highly diverse range of Elkay cable glands is now available ex-stock from Adaptaflex, as part of the company's ‘Xtra' programme of customer service assurance.
Covering an extensive range from standard systems right through to full engineering specification glands, Elkay cable glands are suitable for use throughout the domestic, commercial and industrial sectors. They are available from electrical wholesalers on the same order as Adaptaflex market leading flexible conduit systems.
The standard range, ideal for general use, affords IP66 protection and is Halogen free being manufactured from Polyamide 6.6. It is available in metric and PG versions.
Latest addition is the new Euro Index cable gland range the result of extensive investment in the development of an innovative, highly competitive three-part 'dome top' gland, which offers IP68 performance to 5 bar. A new generation of industrial plastic cable gland, which affords a smaller working envelope on bulkheads or panels, the Euro Index gland provides improved cable sealing, ease of installation and retention. It is available in seven metric sizes from M12 to M40 and in eight PG sizes from PG7 to PG36.
Where the requirement is for even higher performance glands the Index series provides superior quality, performance and mechanical properties for demanding applications. A high cable retention version, the Index Claw cable glands provides effective cable anchorage up to 15.9kg. An EMC system is available in the Index series, which allows termination of screened cables. The metallic and plastic options include glands with metric, PG and NPT threads and there is an EExe version for use in hazardous areas. In use, the Index series afford IP68 protection up to 15 bar.
Elkay metallic and plastic cable glands afford low fire hazard and low smoke and fume options.
