UK LEADING FLEXIBLE CONDUIT BRANDS TO BENEFIT FROM SINGLE MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE UK LEADING FLEXIBLE CONDUIT BRANDS TO BENEFIT FROM SINGLE MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE
The UK's two market leading brands of flexible and pliable conduit systems, Adaptaflex and Kopex, are to benefit from a streamlined single management structure designed to maintain the competitive nature of both brands.
Adaptaflex Ltd, based in Coleshill and Kopex International, based in Slough, are both part of Smiths Group plc.
Both brands will continue to be kept independent and marketed through the electrical wholesale trade, as each commands its own unique position. The individual sales forces will continue to operate as before, but now under the new Group Sales & Marketing Director Ray Bardsley. By having a single management structure, it will be possible to manage the brands more effectively, focussing on the individual key brand strengths and delivering greater customer benefits.
Commenting on the new developments, Ray Bardsley said: “This move is not unlike that faced recently by many other companies in the electrical industry. It is designed to maintain the competitive nature of the Adaptaflex and Kopex brands in light of increasing competition from overseas manufacturers.
“Combining our expertise, skills and knowledge from the two companies, underpinned by a single management structure, will enable us to offer real benefits to our customers worldwide. The streamlined operation means flatter reporting lines, and allows us to take the individual strengths of each brand and combine them into a formidable worldwide supplier of flexible conduit systems.
