US NEWS - NEW FROM ADAPTAFLEX IS THE EASY TO INSTALL, LIQUID TIGHT ADAPTALOK FLEXIBLE CONDUIT SYSTEM
Combining ease of installation with liquid tight performance is the new Adaptalok, non-metallic, flexible conduit system from Adaptaflex, for the protection of electric and data cabling.
Non-metallic flexible conduit systems offer liquid tight performance of metallic systems while providing an overall cost reduction. These benefits have seen a significant swing to the use of non-metallic systems throughout Europe.
Adaptalok has a unique, one-piece, push-on fitting and because there are no seals or gaskets to use, installation is speedy and efficient, cutting down on job time, while the smooth interior of the system makes cable drawing easy.
UL recognized and compliant, Adaptalok offers fittings with a range of popular NPT threads, with fittings and conduit all available from a single source and supplied as a complete system.
The Nylon fittings incorporate self-locking clips that grip securely into the corrugations of fine or coarse pitch flexible conduit as it is pushed into the fitting. The bore of the Adaptalok fitting presents a tapered entry to the conduit and liquid tight sealing is easily attained when used with Nylon conduits from the Adaptaflex range in nominal sizes from ¼ to 1½ inches.
Once assembled, the conduit/fitting connection offers high pull-off strength and resistance to vibration and tampering. Unauthorized or accidental removal of the fitting is prevented by the necessity to use a screwdriver or removal tool and the fitting can be reused, if required.
Because of its ease of assembly, cutting to size and handling, Adaptalok offers much quicker installation times bringing significant benefits and cost-savings to installers.
Operationally proven throughout Europe, Adaptalok benefits from a wide array of fittings in two forms, Polyamide fixed thread or Polyamide with an integrated nickel plated brass thread or coupling. These include straight, 45º and 90º curved elbows, fittings with metal swivel external or internal threads.
