Railtex 2009, 10 – 12 March, Earls Court Two, London Adaptaflex Stand No: 192
Adaptaflex adds the evolutionary 'Adaptalok ATS' to its extensive range of flexible conduits systems
Recently launched in the UK, the evolutionary ‘Adaptalok ATS' conduit system will make its debut at Railtex, along with the extensive range of Adaptaflex systems for locomotive, carriage, trackside and infrastructure applications.
Already being specified on international rail projects, ‘Adaptalok ATS' achieves the highest possible ingress protection ratings by a simple push-twist-pull installation process. Because there are no additional parts it is quick and economical to install ensuring system performance and integrity are maintained once the installation is complete. A full range of fitting options is available including straight and elbows with nylon or swivel metal threads and couplers.
The UK's market leading flexible conduit manufacturer Adaptaflex produces high quality, high performance products approved by recognised industry standards from LUL and BSI, in addition to SNCF, Deutsche Bahn and Siemens, Alstom, Bombardier etc. These are specified and used on some of Europe's leading rail applications.
Specifically designed for the protection of critical electric, signal and telecommunications cabling systems, the Adaptaflex range includes many innovative and purpose designed metallic and non-metallic systems to meet specific application requirements.
The company is the only manufacturer of the BS6853 Class 1A non-metallic flexible conduit Polyketone system, Type PK, which offers an industry defining standard combining Super Low Fire Hazard with high UV resistance, flexibility and fatigue life, making it suitable for both static and flexing applications.
For safety critical and harsh environments, stainless steel or tinned copper overbraid options are available. Similarly, examples of the Type PR enhanced low fire hazard overbraided system will also be on show, all of which are fully approved for use by major rail companies, worldwide.
Suitable for use inside or beneath trains and carriages, as well as on public transport, light rail and tramway systems, Type CP utilises a special co-polymer material that offers high flexibility, with a wide operating temperature range, Low Fire Hazard (LFH) capability and extremely low toxicity. It facilitates the use of the new ‘Adaptalok ATS' one-piece, push and twist fittings, making installation both fast and effective, with the highest ingress protection as standard.
All of the systems are fully detailed in the comprehensive new Adaptaflex Flexible Conduit Systems for Critical Power & Data Cable Protection catalogue, available on request, either at the stand or via quick download from the company website, www.adaptaflex.com.
