Evolutionary new Adaptalok ATS system at InnoTrans, Berlin Adaptaflex at InnoTrans 2008, 23 – 28 September, Berlin, Germany Hall: 18 Stand No: 146
For the first time at InnoTrans, Adaptaflex, a world leader in flexible conduit system technology, will be exhibiting its evolutionary, new ‘Adaptalok ATS' system for locomotive, carriage, trackside and infrastructure applications, along with its extensive product range.
Specifically designed for the protection of critical electric, signal and telecommunications cabling systems, the Adaptaflex range includes many innovative and purpose designed metallic and non-metallic systems to meet specific application requirements. Combining system performance and integrity with speed of installation, the one piece ‘Adaptalok ATS' conduit system, produced by a sophisticated moulding process, achieves the highest possible ingress protection ratings by a simple push-twist-pull installation process, without the need for tools. A full range of options is available including straight and elbows with nylon or swivel metal threads, ideal for rail applications.
Adaptaflex is the only manufacturer of the BS6853 Class 1A non-metallic flexible conduit Polyketone system, Type PK. The Super Low Fire Hazard system has high UV resistance, flexibility and fatigue life making it suitable for both static and flexing applications.
For safety critical and harsh environments stainless steel or tinned copper overbraid options are available. Similarly, examples of the Type PR enhanced low fire hazard overbraided system will also be on show, all of which are fully approved for use by major rail companies, worldwide.
Suitable for use inside or beneath trains and carriages, as well as on public transport, light rail and tramway systems, Type CP utilises a special co-polymer material that offers high flexibility, with a wide operating temperature range, Low Fire Hazard (LFH) capability and extremely low toxicity. It facilitates the use of one-piece, push and twist Adaptalok fittings, making installation both fast and effective, with IP66 ingress protection as standard. By using the Adaptalok high visibility insert seal this can be increased to IP68 or IP69k, as required.
Rail dedicated systems developed by Adaptaflex include both metallic and non-metallic systems, offering ingress protection from IP66, as standard, through to IP67, IP68 and IP69k.
All of the systems are comprehensively detailed in the new Adaptaflex Flexible Conduit Systems catalogue, available on request, either at the stand or via quick download from the Adaptaflex website, www.adaptaflex.com.
