Adaptaflex introduces new dual standard UL 1696 nylon tubing system The first flexible Non-metallic Mechanical Protection Tubing (NMPT) dual listed (CUS) to the new, UL-1696 is now available from Adaptaflex, a world leader in flexible conduit system technology.
Offering considerable benefits over liquid tight flexible metallic conduit, the new PADL Nylon corrugated tubing system provides liquid tight performance, utilizing easy to use push and twist fittings and requires no tools for assembly.
An extremely cost-effective solution to cable protection, the new system is lightweight and easy to handle, offers lower installed costs, has much greater flexibility than metallic conduit systems and is ideal for HVAC applications.
Having achieved CUS certification via the CSA test house, there are five sizes available from ½" to 1¼" with a range of straight and 90º NPT thread fittings to suit all application requirements.
Significant to the PADL system is the combination of Nylon flexible corrugated tubing and the easy to use, push and twist, Adaptalok ATS fittings with NPT threads. In use the system gives instant liquid tight performance to IP68, 4 bar, which exceeds the ingress protection required for the majority of industrial and machinery applications. These fittings, offer the equivalent of NEMA6 and NEMA6P, protection once the installation is complete.
Ideal for use on machinery, machine tool, process pant and production equipment, the products have a low fire hazard capability the material being halogen free, with low toxicity, low smoke and is self-extinguishing.
