Former England International proves he's still a winner

‘If at first you don't succeed then try and try again' has to be the motto for any rugby player but it proved particularly apt for former England player, Mike Lampkowski, who is now MD of Leeds based, Harrison Electrical.

Mike, who as well as playing Rugby Union for England in 1976,  played Rugby League for Wakefield for eight years, tried his luck in the Adaptaflex nationwide ‘Scratch-2-Win' competition. The scratch card promotion, which has been running  in Adaptaflex Super and Premier stockists throughout the UK, gave customers the chance to win one of ten TomTom ONE satellite navigation systems and enter a prize draw for a Samsung 32”LCD TV.

Mike picked up the scratch card when purchasing Adaptaflex supplies at Edmundson Electrical in Leeds. When the card didn't reveal a prize he decided to enter the draw for the main prize and is now the proud owner of a brand new flat screen TV!

“I'm not normally a competitions person but scratch cards are so simple” he explains. “When I didn't win, I thought I might as well enter the prize draw and it just shows – it's always worth a try!”

Mike has been with Harrison Electrical for 27 years and has been an Adaptaflex customer for many of them. The company specialises in electrical contracting for prestigious car showrooms.  Recent customers include Audi in Liverpool, BMW in

Leicester and Aston Martin in Leeds and they are currently working on a new site for Mercedes in Aberdeen.

“This is the second year running we have run a high profile competition within the Super and Premier stockists and it's proved a great success” commented Adaptaflex Group Product Manager, Ann Timmons. “Over 85 wholesalers took part; it's created a buzz in the industry and some fun for our customers – we're delighted with the impact it has had.”
