British Superbike Championship racer Tommy Hill makes a pit stop at Coleshill There was a scheduled pit stop at Coleshill for British Superbike Championship racer Tommy Hill when he called in to see everyone at Adaptaflex, the UK's No1 flexible conduit systems manufacturer.
More used to pit stops at Brands Hatch and Donington, 22 year old Tommy is sponsored by the company and used the occasion to say, ‘thanks for the support.” He even brought his bike along with him, giving people the chance to see the high performance machine, first hand.
“This is the second season I've been lucky enough to get support from Adaptaflex and it helps a lot,” explained Tommy as he met employees and signed autographs. He spearheads the Virgin Media Optoma Loans Yamaha team's campaign in the Championship, this season and after 6 rounds is looking for his first podium finish, despite being placed 8th overall in the championship.
Riding a new Yamaha YZF R1, Tommy also makes the grid in the World Superbike Championship rounds in the UK this year. “It's an added bonus for the team and will certainly help us get more international recognition.”
The British Superbike Championship, runs at Thruxton, Silverstone, Oulton Park, Snetterton, Mondello Park, Knockhill, Mallory Park, Cadwell Park and Donington Park, and carries on through to October.
“It's great to see Tommy here at Coleshill,” said Duncan McKinlay, Managing Director of Adaptaflex. “Our employees enjoy following his progress and really enjoy the chance to catch up with him and hear of some of the thrill of the races when he visits Coleshill, which he has now done on a number of occasions.
“Every round of the Championship features on ITV and Sky Sport and Tommy has the Adaptaflex logo prominently displayed on his racing leathers.”
