International Manufacturing Technology Show - IMTS 2006 - Chicago, USA

IMTS 2006 McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois, USA, 6-13 September, 2006

ADAPTAFLEX LTD     Booth No. B-6879

Launching its new UL1696 nylon flexible tubing system for the US market at IMTS 2006, Adaptaflex will be demonstrating the versatility and ease of installation of this non-metallic system designed for the protection of electrical cabling to meet the new harmonized UL1696 standard.

“This really is the ideal exhibition to launch the new system, which offers so many benefits to users, having achieved CUS certification via the CSA test house.” said John Austin of Adaptaflex. “Not only does it meet the new, harmonized UL1696 requirements, but in terms of ingress protection it exceeds them. Its use will provide manufacturers with distinct advantages over liquid tight flexible metallic conduit, which we will be highlighting at the exhibition.”

An extremely cost-effective solution to cable protection, the new system is lightweight and easy to handle, offers lower installed costs and has much greater flexibility than metallic conduit systems.

Key to the system is the simple push and twist, Adaptalok fittings that give instant liquid tight performance, without the need for tools, offering the cables full protection once installation is complete.

“Another benefit of the new system is its low fire hazard capability, being halogen free low toxicity, low smoke, and self-extinguishing,” added John Austin.

Ideal for use on machinery, machine tool, process plant and production equipment, the system can also be installed in public buildings  where public safety is paramount, thanks to its low fire hazard properties. Nylon systems are already being specified and used on HVAC applications.

Also on display will be a selection of Adaptaflex's full range of metallic and non-metallic UL recognized and compliant products for the US market.  Conduit systems that can offer NPT threads and liquid tight performance.

“No other manufacturer can offer such a diverse and versatile range of flexible conduit or tubing systems. This broad spread of products is the result of the company's on-going product development program,” concluded Austin.

All the products are fully detailed in the new Adaptaflex catalogue, copies of which will be available at the IMTS exhibition or contact the company by email directly on usasales@adaptaflex.com.
