New slit conduit offers retrofit protectionWhere there is the requirement for retrofitting flexible conduit protection to an installation, Adaptaflex has introduced a range of lightweight, slit flexible conduit.
The new Type PA, lightweight, slit conduit is a non-metallic flexible system that offers ease of installation where mechanical protection for electrical wiring, pneumatic pipes and cables is subsequently found to be required.
Offered in seven popular sizes, from 13mm nominal conduit bore through to 54mm, the conduit is easily slipped over any cabling, thanks to the slit along its length. Once in position it provides adequate protection and full cable management, protecting the cables from snagging, abrasion or accidental damage.
Manufactured from Polyamide (Nylon) 6, the conduit is highly flexible, has a high fatigue life as well as being self extinguishing and Halogen free. It is available in black only and in reel lengths of 50 and 25 metres, depending on bore size.
