New stainless steel overbraided flexible conduit Adding to the range of metallic systems from Adaptaflex is the new, stainless steel overbraid flexible conduit system, Type SSB.
Design for use on demanding applications, the system combines a highly flexible, helically wound stainless steel conduit with a stainless steel overbraid making it ideal for corrosive environments.
There are five popular nominal conduit sizes in the range including: 13mm, 16mm, 20mm, 25mm and 32mm, which use the Type A and Type B straight fittings. These incorporate fixed and swivel external threads respectively.
The system affords high compression and crush strength as well as impact resistance. As part of the Adaptasteel system range it has inherent fire protection, high pull off strength and offers EMI screening. Also new to the Adaptasteel range is Type SSBGS, a galvanised steel conduit with stainless steel overbraid, making it particularly suitable for chemical and heavy industrial applications.
Both systems offer high flexibility and fatigue life and have BSI Kitemark and CE approvals.
